Autodsys Announces Release of IntelliCAD 8.1b with Multi-Core Support and New User Interface

Today Autodsys released IntelliCAD 8.1b, a brand new version with hundreds of improvements over the previous version 8.

IntelliCAD 8.1 is a major release that includes increased benefits for performance and productivity. Multi-core processing provides a 1.5 to 3 times performance improvement on multi-core computers when opening and regenerating files. IntelliCAD 8.1 also includes support for opening and saving the latest .dwg file formats, developing end-user applications with a new Microsoft .NET API, opening and exporting .dgn files, annotation scaling, publishing drawings (batch printing), printing to .dwf (or .dwfx), .png, and .jpg files, drawing helices and revision clouds, lofting and sweeping entities, creating polysolids, and many other new commands such as SETBYLAYER, XPLODE, TXT2MTXT, and AUTOCOMPLETE. IntelliCAD 8.1 also now supports Microsoft Windows 10.

Many user interface enhancements were also added including a new ribbon user interface that can be used with or without menus, support for customizable workspaces, and ability to quickly switch color schemes.

Technical Details for 8.1

IntelliCAD is now supported for Microsoft Windows 10 operating systems.
IntelliCAD source code is built with Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 and .NET version 4.5.
VSTA has been disabled.
